School of Business

The school of business’s Global Leadership Belt Program is designed to promote internationally-minded global leaders. Consistent with its emphasis on global education, this program offers a variety of opportunities to students, including self bench-marking and setting stretch goals for themselves. The School of Business spares no effort to support our progressive students in the global leadership program. Courses of global leaders are divided into 5 different color levels: White belt, Yellow belt, Green belt, Black belt and Master Black belt. A Green belt is awarded as an acknowledgement of a student’s potential abilities as a global leader. Black belt is granted to students who can compete with other international leaders in global business. Finally, the Master Black belt is bestowed upon students of such profound ability that they are able to lead and manage global teams.

9 fundamental abilities to achieve the Green belt

1. Global linguistic ability: TOEIC 850 or corresponding third language ability
2. Honesty and social contribution: 150 hours of social service
3. Global business management knowledge: Attend at least 10 business required subjects and optional subjects in English
4. Participation in the Global Leadership Program
5. A GPA over 3.8
6. Experience of planning team project in the community
7. Global experience including participation in the student exchange program, a global Internship or AICPA or CFA qualifications
8. Personal Portfolio Submission
9. Recommendation of the advisory professor

Benefits from the Green belt

1. The Green belt scholarship (a prospective 50% tuition scholarship)
2. Preference for the international internship and exchange student program
3. Couch from a specially assigned professor

To achieve the black belt, there are 4 more requirements in addition to the 9 fundamental abilities

1. TOEIC 900 or correspond third language ability
2. Dean’s list selection.
3. Social/volunteer service of at least 200 hours

1. Black belt scholarship (a prospective full tuition scholarship).
2. Black belt medal and bronze certification permanently displayed in the Dasan Hall
